Luther Quote of the Week

We are reluctant to put up with other people’s frailties and, instead, every one expects every one else to be perfect.

M.L. about Romans 15.1

The Luther500 Festival is an officially recognized event of the Luther-Decade.

Who is Lost and Found?

LOST AND FOUND is Michael Bridges and George Baum, two musicians who have been traveling throughout the world for 25 years performing their own brand of original folk music and serving the Church in the process.  In addition to being full-time working musicians, and regular fixtures at Lutheran events, they are both Seminary graduates with parish and teaching experience.

But when we say the Festival is presented by LOST AND FOUND, we do not mean to suggest they are working alone:

The Festival is organised in Germany by our friends from Terra Lu Travel. They specialize in land tours and accommodations in “Terra Lutherana”, the Land of Luther. Every year many churches, universities, and choirs use the services of Terra Lu for hand made group travels. Terra Lu Travel puts this event into reality in Wittenberg and will provide all the necessary arrangements. Terra Lu Travel is founded and owned by Rev. Christian Utpatel, who before he started the company was the National Youth Pastor of the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church in Germany (SELK) for 11 years and is involved in youth ministry since he was a confirmand.

The Festival will not happen without the help of many Volunteers. We are thankful to get the expertise of many friends from the Lutheran church in Germany who have long term experience with church gatherings, retreats, and camps!

The preparations of the Festival are also supported by: Axel Bode, Keith W. Loesch, Scott Moore, Hinrich Müller, Ulrich Schulze, Hans-Jörg Voigt, Elke Witt, Katariina Ylikännö, and many others…
